TET/ CTET Exam Previous Year Question Papers

Exam for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is conducted at state as well as central level every year. TET/ CTET exam is conducted by state/ central government. Candidates have to clear the exam to become a government teacher. Candidates can become a teacher in primary as well as in upper primary level. Candidates who want to become a teacher for class 1st to 5th have to clear Paper-I. For upper primary level i.e. 6th to 10th class, the candidate has to appear for Paper-II.

TET/ CTET Exam Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Paper-I

  1. Candidate must have secured 50% marks in the senior secondary exam and have passed or given final year exam of elementary education 2-year diploma course

                                                          OR 

Candidate must have secured 45% marks in the senior secondary exam and have passed or given final year exam of elementary education 2-year diploma course as per norms of NCTE, 2002

2. Candidate must have secured 50% marks in the senior secondary exam and have passed or given final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) of 4-year

OR

Candidate must have secured 50% marks in the senior secondary exam and have passed or given final year exam of Diploma in Education (Special Education)* of 2-year course

                                                                OR

Candidate must have completed graduation and have passed or given final year exam of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education Graduation

Eligibility Criteria for Paper-II

Candidate must meet one of these criteria:

  1. Candidate must be a graduate and passed or giving final year exam of Elementary Education, 2-year Diploma
  2. Secured minimum 50% marks in graduation and passed or giving exams of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). 1-year course
  3. Secured minimum 45% marks in graduation and passed or giving exams of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). 1-year course as per norms of NCTE
  4. Secured minimum 50% marks in senior secondary and passed or giving exams for the final year of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) 4-year course.
  5. Secured minimum 50% marks in senior secondary and passed or giving exams for the final year of B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed 4-year course.
  6. Secured minimum 50% marks in graduation and passed or giving exams of B.Ed (Special Education)* 1-year course

Importance and Validity of TET/CTET Certificate

  • CTET/TET certificate is received after clearing Paper-I or Paper-II of TET/ CTET exam.
  • To become a primary or senior primary teacher candidate must have TET/ CTET certificate.
  • Candidate can apply for a vacancy in schools
  • Candidates having CTET certificate will be eligible to apply for central government schools like KVS, ERDO, Army Schools etc
