NABARD Grade-A Exam Selection Process

Candidates have to clear 3 stages for clearing PO Exam:

  1. Prelims Exam – conducted online (objective questions)
  2. Mains Exam – conducted online (objective questions+ Descriptive)
  3. Interview

Mains Exam Pattern:

  • Paper I – This paper is common for all 10 posts
  • Paper II – Different for different posts

Paper I:  General English Descriptive 100 1 ½ hours
Paper II: For General Post Economic & Social Issues & Agri.& Rural Development MCQ 100 1 ½ hours
Paper II: For all other posts Related to the discipline of the post (Animal Husbandry/Chartered Accountant/Economics/Environmental Engineering/Food Technology/Forestry/Agriculture/Minor Irrigation/Social Work) MCQ 100 1 ½ hours
  • In Mains exam, there will be objective+ descriptive questions
  • The test will be conducted online
  • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
  • Candidate have to clear sectional as well as an overall cut-off to clear the mains exam
  • If you have scored high in mains exam, you will be called for Interview
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in mains and interview 

Interview Pattern:

  • Interview round carries 25 marks
  • Marls are considered while preparing the final merit list for selection of NABARD Grade-A.

Preliminary Exam Syllabus:

  • English – Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Para Jumbles
  • Reasoning – Syllogisms, Arrangements, Inequalities, Machine Input Output, Comparison, Data Sufficiency
  • Quantitative Aptitude – Data Interpretation, Mensuration, Number Series, Miscellaneous Questions (Time, Average, Percentage, Ratio Proportion, Age, Probability, Simple and Compound Interest, Permutation and Combination, Profit and Loss, etc.)
  • Computer Knowledge – Basic computer topics like Internet, Networking, Software/Hardware, Abbreviations, Shortcuts, MS Office, etc.
  • General Awareness-Current Affairs for last 6 months, questions from banking & finance, General Knowledge questions, etc.
  • Economic and Social Issues – Mostly based on government schemes, economic policies, and banking
  • Agriculture and Rural Development Syllabus – Based on Central Government policies for agriculture and rural development
