Posts for recruitment ofGeneral Duty & General Duty Pilot (only male candidates are eligible). Post for recruitment of Commercial Pilot License SSA (Both male & female candidates are eligible). Indian Coast Guard is one of the posts in Indian Arm Forces responsible for the safety of Indian territorial waters. Basic pay for the post is Rs. 56100/-.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant

  1. Candidate must be between 18-22 years. Candidate must be born between 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 2000.
  2. There is Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  3. For General Duty & General Duty (Pilot) candidate must have:
    • Either B.E/ B.Tech Degree with minimum 60% marks overall.
    • Candidate must have completed 10+2+3 scheme with Maths and Physics till 12th Standard. Have secured minimum 60% marks overall.
    • There is 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST candidates, NCC ’C’ (A grade) holders, Sportsperson of the National level (Inter-State & above) and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.
  4. For Commercial Pilot License Post
    • Candidate must have currently validated/ issued Commercial Pilot License by Director General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
    • Candidate must have Maths and physics in 12th standard and have secured minimum 60% overall.

Note – Any type of permanent tattoos on any part of the body is banned by the government. The exemption is given candidates from tribal areas or communities.

1. Shortlisting of Application

2. Preliminary Selection

The candidate has to clear written test and picture perception test. Mode of the test is in English.

3. Final Selection

  • Psychological Test, Group Task, and Interview (Personality Test) is the final selection step.
  • For General Duty (Pilot) candidates have to be present at Dehradun /Mysore AFSBs for Computerized Pilot Selection System Test (CPSS). If any candidate has already appeared for CPSS have to provide necessary details like Batch, Chest Number, Date and Place.

4. Medical Examination

  • The medical process will take 2-3 days.
