A Rajbhasha Adhikari also known as an Official Language Officer is the one responsible for promoting communication in bank in national language i.e. Hindi. He/She is the one who is responsible to circulate notices, circular or any type of official document in the Hindi Language. It is important that the Rajbhasha Adhikari is well-versed in Hindi as well as Sanskrit. It is Rajbhasha Adhikari’s responsibility to make sure that Hindi and Sanskrit are used in the bank on daily basis.
Responsibility of Rajbhasha Adhikari
Apart from promoting national language in bank operations, the following are responsibilities of Rajbhasha Adhikari:
- To translate bank documents in Hindi and Sanskrit and circulate it within the bank and it branches.
- To arrange training programmes and workshops for bank officials to use Hindi as much as possible in daily operations.
Eligibility Criteria for Rajbhasha Adhikari
- Candidate must have Knowledge of Hindi as well as the English Language.
- It is mandatory to have PG Degree in Hindi or in the Sanskrit language
- Candidate must have English as the language in graduation.
- Age limit is 20-30 years
