ATMA is a single window enterance examination conducted for getting admission in any type of management programs. The examination is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). 

ATMA Previous Year Question Papers

AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is an enterance examination for MBA/PGDM/MMS/MCA programs. It is a computer-based exam. It is conducted at a national level by AIMS. By giving this examination, candidates get a chance to get enrolled in any type of management program. Admission will be based on marks scored. There are various management schools and participating colleges across India that offer admissions on the basis of exam scores.

Exam Pattern

There are six MBA enterance exams conducted in India every year and ATMA is one of them. ATMA is conducted five times a year in Online and Offline mode. The online exam is conducted in the month of January, February, and August. While offline is conducted in the month of March and July. The exam will have in all 180 questions. It is a single day exam with time duration of 3 Hrs. Paper is divided into three major sections:

  1. Analytical Reasoning Skills 1 & 2
  2. Verbal Skills-1 & 2
  3. Quantitative Skills 1 & 2

Each question carries 1 mark. There is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

ATMA Syllabus

There is no official syllabus released by AIMS. For your reference, we have developed a tentative syllabus after analyzing previous year papers. Syllabus of ATMA 2018 examination is shared below:

ATMA Syllabus: Analytical Reasoning Skills 1 and 2

Skills 1: Analytical skills of the candidate will be tested. The candidate has to give the correct answer after analyzing the given situation. Questions will be based on:

  • Critical Reasoning,
  • A course of Action,
  • Statement-Inference,
  • Strong/Weak Arguments

Skills 2: Apart from the above-mentioned topics, topics can be:

  • Coding-decoding
  • Strengthen/Weaken arguments
  • Statement-Conclusion
  • Arrangements
  • Syllogisms
  • Data sufficiency

ATMA Syllabus: Verbal Skills 1 and 2

Skill 1:  Candidate’s English skills are tested in this section. Topics will be:

  • Grammar
  • Vocabulary
  • Jumbled Sentences
  • RC Passages
  • Sentence Completion

Skills 2: In this section, questions will be more on Reading Comprehension and Verbal Reasoning.

Tips: Make your hold on the English Language strong. Improve vocabulary by reading English newspaper and magazines.

ATMA Syllabus: Quantitative Skills 1 and 2

Skills 1 and 2: This section revolves around mathematics, numerical ability, calculation skills, etc. It is important for candidates to practice quick solving tricks with respect to calculations, etc. for doing well in this section. Topics covered in this section are given below:

ATMA Previous Year Question Papers
